Three New Warm Weather Wines

Claudio Giordano II
Claudio Giordano II, sommelier at Café Sambal at the Mandarin Oriental Miami, was born into the hospitality industry. From the time he was a teenager, Giordano worked with his father, a prominent restaurateur in South Beach, later graduating from Florida International University with a degree in Hospitality Management. Giordano soon recognized his love for wine and traveled throughout Europe, learning about the Old World Wine Regions. Upon his return in late 2011, Giordano joined the Mandarin Oriental wine department, soon completing his Certified Sommelier exams through the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Café Sambal, housed in the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Miami, features a modern Asian menu and unparalleled atmosphere and service. The outdoor waterfront restaurant is set on Biscayne Bay overlooking the Miami skyline, with a design that embodies the spicy, modern spirit of Miami. The restaurant boasts a diverse wine collection. Amongst thousands of other choices, visitors can select from a vast assortment of Italian wines, older vintage Bordeaux, and hard-to-find white and red burgundies.
